Michael Heacock has joined Morrow Equipment as Vice President of Sales. Heacock will be part of the leadership growth at Morrow and will join the executive team at headquarters in Salem, OR. Heacock is a graduate of the University of Washington and is a member of the ASME B30.3 and 30.29 subcommittees, as well as the SC&RA tower crane committee.

Peter Juhren, Vice President of Operations, was named President and Chief Operating Officer. Joining the Morrow organization in 1980 as a service technician trainee, Juhren worked his way up to becoming District Service Manager before managing Morrow’s global service operations as Corporate Service Manager starting in 1994, and as Vice President of Operations in 2015. Juhren is the incoming President of the Board of the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO), past Chairman of the ASME B30.3 subcommittee on tower cranes. He has also served on the CDAC committee for crane safety with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). In his new role, Juhren, As President and Chief Operating Officer, will be responsible for overseeing the management of the company going forward, working with the Board of Directors to continue Morrow’s vision to remain adaptive to the industry changes and maintain Morrow’s position as the leader in the industry.
Mark Beals, Vice President & CFO
Mark Beals, Controller, was promoted to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Beals Graduated from the University of Colorado in 1993 with a degree in accounting and joined Deloitte as an auditor. Beals started his career with Morrow in 1995 as the Accounting Manager and became a CPA after passing the exams in 1997 and was promoted to the position of Controller in 2001. Going forward as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, He will be responsible for the financial management of the company, managing growth and opportunities.

Chicago’s One Bennett Park is being developed by Related Midwest. Goebel forms is utilizing 2 Morrow tower cranes for this prestigious project. Erected November 2017, the Liebherr 316 EC-H Litronic bottom climbing crane, it will climb to a final hook height of 878ft. and will dismantle June 2018. Erected November 2, 2017. The 2nd crane on this job is a Liebherr 420 EC-H top climbing crane was erected on March 31, 2017 and will havea final HUH of 903 ft. and will dismantle the 316 EC-H Litronic and before climbing back down and being dismantled by a mobile crane.
Wanda Vista, when completed will be the 3rd tallest building in Chicago, 95 floors and 1,136’ high replacing the Hancock Tower which dropped to the 3rd spot in Chicago after completion to Trump Tower in 2008.
Morrow supplied 2 luffing boom tower cranes to James McHugh for this high profile project.Crane one is a Liebherr 357 HCL bottom climbing to the71 st floor and then transitioning to a top climbing crane up to a final hook height of 1,245’. When the building is completed, the crane will then be climbed down to the 73’d floor where it will be dismantled using a timberland derrick.
The 2nd crane is a Liebherr 542 HCL top climbing crane that was erected on January 20, 2017. This crane will climb to a final height of 650 ft. and climb down to be dismantled. The Wanda Group chose Chicago over New York and Los Angeles for their first US project, 95 floors at 1136 ft. total height.
Morrow was chosen by IUOE Local 793 in Ontario to provide the Liebherr 85EC-B tower crane for their new training center climbing structure. Morrow has had a longstanding relationship with local 793 and we are proud to be a part of this historic training program teaching both inside the building and top climbing operations utilizing one crane and a specially designed and built structure.
