- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Trainer in the lifting industry with certification credentials and background required. Tower crane training experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and ASME standards as applicable to crane operations, maintenance, erection, climbing, safety and inspection of tower cranes, wire rope and crane components, and State and federal certification requirements.
- Basic electrical knowledge desirable.
- Prior experience and working knowledge of the NCCCO tower crane, rigger and signal person certification programs required. Experience as a crane examiner is desirable.
- High computer literacy; working knowledge and experience with a range of training software packages and applications as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Extensive experience designing, developing, and delivering instructional programs of a technical nature ensuring that training needs are identified and met in a timely, cost effective, and innovative manner.
- Experience utilizing adult learning concepts, state-of-the-art training techniques and current trends in learning, training and personnel development.
- Ongoing commitment to maintaining a working knowledge of tower crane products as required supporting present and future business goals and objectives.
- Proven ability to work safely and effectively at heights when required.
- Ability to conduct training needs assessments, design and develop technical course curriculums/instructional plans, deliver training, evaluate training programs for effectiveness and consult on a broad array of technical learning and development issues as required.
- Strong business acumen, professional demeanor; decisive with highly versatile interpersonal, written, presentation, technical and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, relationship management, vendor management, and project management skills are essential. Self-motivated, detail oriented.
- Responsible to assist with the oversight, implementation and facilitation of training activities and events, training material production and distribution, and other Corporate Training Center expenditures to ensure that training operations are managed within authorized budgets.
- Work effectively and collaboratively across functions as a team player to seamlessly help achieve common goals. Ability to operate efficiently as an individual contributor, team member and team leader.

- Unquestionable business and personal integrity.
- Must have current Driver’s License and acceptable driving record to facilitate business travel as necessary. Business travel requirements will be minimal.
- Must be willing to relocate to the Salem area and live a commutable distance (within 50-mile radius) of Morrow’s Corporate Training Center located in Salem, Oregon.

Service Technician General Job Duties:
Service Cranes and Hoists for Morrow Equipment Company. Provides technical guidance to other professionals and customers related to tower crane applications.
Essential Job Functions:
The fundamental duties of this job include the following:
- Ability to erect, climb, dismantle and perform maintenance and repairs to cranes and personnel/material hoists. Assists Service Manager and Shop Foreman with maintenance and repair of cranes and hoists when not assigned to jobsite. Provides assistance with proper loading of equipment on trucks for transporting.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, drawings, and understand mechanical drive systems. Knowledge of PLC’s and frequency drive systems a plus.
- Applicable knowledge of OSHA safety regulations as they apply to crane and hoist erection, dismantle, climbing, maintenance and repair. Complies with Company and Regulatory safety requirements and specifications on jobsites and in the district yard and shop.
- Understanding and proper use of Company supplied safety equipment as required, including hard hats, safety glasses, body harnesses, NFPA arc flash protection, etc. in compliance with Company policy.
- Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner. This includes the wearing of Company supplied uniforms, and the maintenance of Company vehicles, tools and equipment.
- Submission of required service reports, expense reports, time sheets and other documents as requested. All such documents must be processed and submitted within designated timeframes established by the home office.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime to accommodate the needs of the business. This includes “on call status” as required.
Technical Skills/Licenses Required:
The technical skills and licenses required in this position include the following:
- Requirement to maintain a valid State driver’s license.
- Ability to operate all yard and shop equipment.
- Requirements to attend training courses and seminars as requested by the Company.
- May be required to maintain a current CPR and First Aid Certification.
